Proposed Bylaws Changes
The PCSO Board of Directors proposed the following bylaws changes and board slate at the recent Ad Interim meeting:
1.) The PCSO Board of Directors puts forward bylaws changes for consideration by the PCSO membership at the 2018 Annual Session. According to the PCSO bylaws, article XVI – amendments, proposed amendments shall be approved by the board of directors and then presented to the membership at least 30 days prior to the next Annual Session, where it may be adopted by a two-thirds vote of the active members present and voting at the regularly scheduled business meeting.
These edits will be voted on at the second business meeting of the Annual Session in Monterey, CA on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Any questions or concerns with the bylaws should be emailed to PCSO Executive Director Callie Castro, ccastro@aaortho.org.
2.) The PCSO Board of Directors puts forward the following as the slate for 2018-2019 officers: Dr. Kurt Stormberg (CA) – President, Dr. Robert Meister (CA) – President-Elect, and Dr. Marie Lathrop (OR) – Secretary-Treasurer. According to PCSO bylaws, article VI – officers, the president-elect, and secretary-treasurer will be elected at the Annual Session by the active members present and voting at the regularly scheduled business meeting. This election will take place at the second business meeting of the Annual Session in Monterey, CA, on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
