Volunteer Opportunity-PCSO Director to the AAO Foundation Board

The PCSO will be appointing a director to the AAO Foundation board with a term beginning May, 2010. The AAO Foundation’s Mission is to advance the orthodontic specialty by supporting education and research. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will demonstrate:

Commitment to the specialty through support of education and research.
A willingness to support the fundraising efforts of the AAOF including soliciting potential donors as well as involvement in the AAOF’s “Continued Commitment to the Specialty©” Campaign and the Keystone Society.
Strong, respectful relationship with peers in the orthodontic specialty

Responsibilities include:

Attend two meetings per year at AAO Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. These meetings will be held over the last weekend in July and another weekend in late February or early March.
Attend conference call meetings throughout the year as needed.
Participate in a board committee
Actively support the fundraising efforts of the AAOF within the PCSO including attending AAOF events at the PCSO Annual Session and within the orthodontic programs in the PCSO
