PCSO Bylaws Changes and Proposed 2019 – 2020 Officer Slate

The PCSO Board of Directors proposed the following bylaws changes and board slate at the Ad Interim meeting in March, which will be voted on in October in Honolulu.

1.) The PCSO Board of Directors puts forward bylaws changes for consideration by the PCSO membership at the 2019 Annual Session. According to the PCSO bylaws, article XVI – amendments, proposed amendments shall be approved by the board of directors and then presented to the membership at least 30 days prior to the next Annual Session, where it may be adopted by a two-thirds vote of the active members present and voting at the regularly scheduled business meeting.

These edits will be voted on at the second business meeting of the Annual Session in Honolulu, HI, on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Any questions or concerns with the bylaws should be emailed to PCSO Executive Director Callie Castro, ccastro@pcsortho.org.

2.) The PCSO Board of Directors puts forward the following as the slate for 2019-2020 officers: Dr. Robert Meister (CA) – President, Dr. Marie Lathrop (OR) – President-Elect, and Dr. Thomas Merrill (WA) – Secretary-Treasurer. According to PCSO bylaws, article VI – officers, the president-elect, and secretary-treasurer will be elected at the Annual Session by the active members present and voting at the regularly scheduled business meeting. This election will take place at the second business meeting of the Annual Session in Honolulu, HI, on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
